Business English Trainer & TESOL Educator

Maksym Achkasov (phon.: ˈmæksɪm ˈʌʧkæsəf) is a TESOL educator specialising in Business English and professional communication development for adult learners. His work focuses on helping professionals express their expertise with clarity, structure, and confidence in international environments. He is an Ontario Certified English Language Teacher (OCELT®) with TESL Ontario (Canada) and holds both a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Manchester. His professional training includes qualifications from INTESOL (UK), the London Language Institute (Canada), and the Canadian College of Educators (Canada). In addition to his linguistic background, he holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Counselling (Russia), which informs a psychologically attentive approach to communication.

His work addresses not only language, but also confidence, hesitation, and the alignment between thinking and expression. Maksym runs several educational platforms with a combined monthly audience of approximately 103,000 learners. He is the founder of English4real™, an educational platform through which he developed and delivered a wide range of video-based lessons for learners of English as a second language. Between 2018 and 2020, the platform was ranked the most visited language learning website among private language schools in Ukraine. His current focus is on depth-oriented, one-to-one development of professional communication. The approach integrates structured thinking, linguistic precision, and psychological awareness to support clear, persuasive communication and confident professional authority. His areas of focus include argument structure, persuasive communication, emotional intelligence in professional dialogue, and the development of communication as a form of professional presence.

Throughout my teaching career, I have achieved the following milestones:

- Delivered over 14,500 hours of one-to-one and group classes;
- Recorded more than 280 video lessons on YouTube;
- Created over 1,200 original vocabulary tests for A2-C1 levels;
- Received more than 100 positive reviews from students;
- Grew a Facebook community to over 10,000 followers and a YouTube channel to over 8,000 subscribers;
- Developed an educational website with study materials used by an average of over 4,000 people daily for free;
- Set up and effectively maintained the Learning Management System (LMS) for the language school’s academic purposes;
- Developed an efficient attendance-and-payment reporting system in Excel for the language school’s managerial purposes.
