About
Tara has a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Education, and a TESL certificate. She taught overseas in Japan for GEOS and enjoyed living in Japan. Tara has been teaching in the Ontario College System at Centennial College, George Brown College and Durham College for the last few years. She has specialized in teaching pronunciation and English for Special Purposes (Business and Nursing).
Dan graduated in geology and worked in exploration in the far north of Canada where snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and camping were a part of daily life. He has also been certified as a canoe instructor. Dan has his TESL Certification and has nine years of teaching experience. Dan has taught overseas in Greece and at ECC in Thailand. He has taught the Cambridge 5 Level System, as well as having tutored students in TOEFL and TOEIC. For the last few years, Dan has been teaching in the Ontario College System at George Brown College and Durham College.
Both Tara and Dan have taught students of all levels and from a wide variety of cultures.
Courses
One learns person to person, so the curriculum will change to fit the needs of the student. He/she can request a specific English focus:

- English for Special Purposes (Medicine, Science)
- Test Preparation (TOEFL, TOEIC)
- Conversational English
- Academic Preparation

1. In a private school or college ESL class you have to share your practice time with other students. With us, you learn one to one.
2. Sometimes you study things you already know how to use. Our study plan is designed to give you practice with the English you need to improve.
3. When you leave your class, you speak your native language. Many students stay with families who speak their native language. With us, you will practice English from the time you wake up to the time you go to sleep.
