Giving presentations in English

In many companies, presentations are now a common feature of working life. It is also becoming increasingly common to have to give presentations in English. Giving a presentation in a foreign language is a real challenge, even for those who have a good knowledge of the language. With this course you can learn the vocabulary and expressions that you need when giving a presentation. There are also a number of useful tips provided that will help you to present in English more effectively.

The training material consists of six units, and covers all stages of presentations and several related topics. Every unit begins with a Starter, which consists of short exercises, questionnaires, or quizzes. This is followed by experts from presentations with listening activities, gap-fills, and a variety of exercises which will enable you to learn and practice specific expressions and structures. At the end of each unit is a Checklist which summarizes the most important aspects of the unit and will lead to discussions.

The training also covers presenting techniques; composition, structure, and how to deliver of a presentation. It also addresses other issues like body language, visuals, and interaction with audience. When you have worked through all the units you will be tested with some practical tasks organized by the teacher. A Certificate on the successful accomplishment of the course is provided.
